The Ray Bradbury Theater brought the esteemed author to syndicated TV, bringing his many short stories (and some originals) to visual form. But being an anthology series, this means some of these entries are better than others.
And some...are incredibly bad.
The Storyteller was one of Jim Henson's grandest experiments, forgoing the color and comedic sting of his earlier productions for a show exceedingly gray and grim. Retelling old tales collected from legend, the show's nine episodes still centered on the fantastic...but were perhaps too drab, too humorless, for those expecting the zest of a Fraggle or Muppet.
