The cover art for the Season 2 Western release. The simple, unadorned cover belies the colorful nature of the series.

The long-lost anime series from the '90s has been unearthed and finally restored to full, unedited glory! Coined "Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics" in the West, both seasons are now on Blu-ray and easily available through various marketplaces. (Amazon Prime has digital copies of each episode available, too.) For many a '90s kid and teen, the show was an early introduction into the world of anime, and it was a good one, too. The anthology series was full of strange frights and delights--some episodes couldn't even be aired due to their intense, nightmarish nature. But though the show, at long last, is now available for easy viewing, it remains largely unfamiliar to many an anime (and fairy tale) fan. And so...please enjoy this thoughtful episodic breakdown and review of every episode in season 2! Every story usually packs a moral or commentary regarding Man, society, or the struggle between good and evil. This retrospective unveils these sometimes hidden insights...and the results are often surprising!
